Bertyn Seitan Supreme Tops XL are 100% organic seitan strips – larger than Bertyn’s other Tops strips
Supreme Tops XL are the perfect strips for vegetarian stews or festive meals. Whether you want to fondue, serve a gourmet meal or barbecue, Supreme Tops XL are the perfect choice. They are ready-to-use seitan strips that are easy to place on a skewer for a fondue or satay. They are larger than other types of Bertyn Tops seitan strips, which means you don’t have to cut them up. If you need even larger pieces of seitan than the Supreme Tops XL, then go for seitan Steaks or seitan Blocs.
Supreme Tops XL are marinated in organic tamari sauce and are made with organic wheat. Shoyu Steak, Shoyu Bloc 1,000 g and Shoyu Bloc 550 g are also wheat seitans, while all the other Bertyn seitan products are made using organic spelt.
You could say that Supreme Tops XL is a more authentic version than the other seitans Bertyn offers, as seitan was originally made with only wheat and there was no spelt seitan. Furthermore, the herb melange used for Supreme Tops XL does not have a pronounced Indonesian (Satay Tops), Japanese (Teriyaki Tops), African (Gula Java Chili Tops) or sweet flavour (Gourmet Tops).
One pack of Suprème Tops XL contains approximately 8 seitan strips (400 g: 320 g seitan + 80 g sauce).
It’s a great Tops to use for traditional meat dishes. Supreme Tops XL are enormously versatile and can be used for:
- Dredging in batter and deep fried to create a crust

Fry and stir in a pan on low heat for 5 minutes.
Alternatively, immerse it in its package in boiling water for 5 minutes.
