Guatemalan coffee is known to be one of the most flavourful and nuanced coffees in the world. With a distinct flavour quality, this organic coffee is appreciated by many. The Bioco Guatemala coffee has a rich flavour that leaves a hint of a chocolate-like flavour behind. This cooperative was founded to improve working conditions and life quality of small-scale coffee farmers. Thanks to the Effico foundation these farmers gain access to the global market and receive other services including education and improved infrastructure.
*Where industrial coffee roasters roast their coffee beans in less than 5 minutes in extreme temperatures, Bioco opts to roast their beans for at least 15 minutes long at more moderate temperatures. This allows the coffee aromas and flavours to come into its own and remain within the bean.
The coffee is packaging in an eco-friendly 'tube' with an eco-pouch (bio-based bag) inside. This Guatemalan coffee is also available as Guatemala Coffee Beans.
A perfect coffee to water ratio doesn't exist. Everyone has their own preferred flavour and each coffee machine is different.
