Ginger and turmeric shots
For ± 10 shots:
Ingredients:
-
2 lemons (peeled)
-
2 oranges (peeled)
-
± 200 g ginger root (peeled)
-
± 200 g turmeric root (peeled)
-
1 tablespoon raw honey
-
200 to 250 ml water
Instructions:
Cut the lemons, oranges, ginger and curcuma into pieces
Combine all ingredients in a blender until you obtain a homogeneous juice
Strain the juice
Pour the juice into separate small bottles or one large bottle
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
TIP: You can also freeze the drink and the best way to do that is to pour it into an ice cube mold. That way you can easily take out one ice cube whenever you need a boost.
Powerful herbal infusion
A warm, soothing but powerful infusion for that extra boost during the cold winter months or periods of fatigue.
Ingredients:
-
700 ml of water
-
Juice of half a lemon
-
1 cinnamon stick
-
Piece of ginger root of ± 5 cm
-
Half a tablespoon of turmeric powder (or grated turmeric root if fresh)
-
Pinch of cayenne pepper
-
Raw honey
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients (except the honey) in a saucepan and bring to a boil
Once it boils, turn down the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Strain the infusion and allow to cool briefly before drinking
Important: Add a teaspoon of raw honey to your cup once the infusion has cooled enough. Adding raw honey to boiling hot tea destroys its healthy enzymes.
Drink a cup of this infusion in the morning and evening.
