The name ‘Aruntam’ is Ecuadorian. It is the name of the ‘spirit of courage’, worshipped by the Shuar tribe in Ecuador, who have been the protectors of the Amazon forest since time immemorial.
In the Amazon forest of Ecuador a variety of cocoa bean grow. The diversity of the fauna and flora can be tasted in the complexity of the chocolate creates.
Different bars of “The Faces of the World” are made from cocoa from Ecuador. Aruntam Coraggio Nativo also uses cocoa from Peru, Tanzania and Nicaragua.
