Moroccan Mint – Numi’s Organic Mint Tea with Spearmint
Numi’s Moroccan Mint is a caffeine free mint tea made with Moroccan ‘nana mint’. This ‘nana mint’ tastes like spearmint, is Fair Trade and organic. In every Numi mint-flavoured teabag, you will only find dried mint, without any added green or black tea.
When using dried mint to prepare a delicious cup of mint tea you require less mint than when using fresh mint. This Numi Moroccan Mint tea requires 5 minutes to soak and can be consumed when warm or cold. It can also be added to various recipes or meals to create a delicious fresh taste.
Mint tea is often consumed after a meal. There are many health benefits to this. Because mint tea improves digestion by stimulating the secretion of digestive juices, it achieves smoother bowel movements.

Bring water to a boil. Let the water cool down for a few minutes, after it has reached its boiling point.
Pour the hot water over the teabag and let it soak for 5 to 6 minutes.
Cold – Ice tea
For 500ml – Soak 2 teabags in hot water for 5 to 6 minutes, let the tea cool off and then pour the tea over some ice cubes.
In dishes, like Numi’s Mintea Couscous
3 Moroccan Mint teabags
½ cup boiling water
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 crushed garlic clove
1 large tomato, cored and seeded, finely chopped
2 tablespoons dark raisins
½ cup cooked chickpeas
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon saffron threads
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups cooked couscous or pasta
Soak 3 Moroccan Mint teabags in the boiling water. Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the finely chopped onions and garlic. Add the tomato chunks, raisins and chickpeas and fry them for 5 minutes. Pour the mint tea in the pan and stir well. Mix everything with the couscous or pasta and serve it warm.
Prepare Moroccan Mint as an ice tea and use it for Mojitos or any other cocktails, if you do not have any mint available.
