Nebula Throw / Shawl – Teixidors – From ultra soft, traceable, organic wool and cashmere

Those who look for softness, discover the Nebula Throw from Teixidors: 50% cashmere + 50% Macomerinos wool. Enjoy this softness on the couch or in bed, but also during a cozy summer evening on the terrace. Because of the fine weaving and quality of the materials, the Nebula Throw can also be perfectly used as a shawl.

Cashmere is an expensive type of wool with extremely fine fibres, lightweight and unique warmth insulating properties. It is the combination of the lightness and great insulation that makes cashmere so very expensive.

The cashmere wool used in the Nebula Throw is originally from a small cooperative in Mongolia and is completely traceable and organic. This is exceptional and adds to the value of the Nebula throw.

The sheep’s wool of the Nebula Throws is from the Macomerinos sheep; they can be found a few hours away from Teixidors.

Teixidors looks out for the social integration and economic independence of people with mental disabilities

Teixidors was founded in 1983 as a sheltered workplace to offer those with mental and social disabilities a place and occupation. As of 2017, 23 people work in the workshop, finishing all the woven fabrics from beginning till end.

Each Teixidors piece is unique

In the Teixidors workshop, each item is hand-woven. Looms which are up to 3 meters wide are manually operated by the weavers who have completed a 3 year long education program. The qualities and skills of each weaver makes each woven piece entirely unique.

Blankets, throws, pillow covers from the Ecological Collection consist of 100% organic material traceability

For the Ecological Collection, Teixidors has entrusted Manu’s Merino wool, from Macomerinos. Manu is a French sheepherder with approximately 1500 sheep. His sheep spend 8 to 12 months per year in the Alps, where they are free to graze and live.

Ingredients	50% organic sheep’s wool – 50% organic cashmere wool
Use	Nebula Throw / Shawl is a natural product, made of 500% ecological sheep wool and 50% organic cashmere wool. The best way to freshen this throw or plaid is by placing it on a drying rack outside in the fresh air. Make use of a cold, frosty day to freshen the throw. The wool fibres open and will remove any odours. When spilling on a woollen product, it is sufficient to simply dab the liquid off. Wool contains wool grease or lanoline which repels water and dirt. For dried up or absorbed stains, it is not recommended to machine wash or dry your Nebula Throw. Bring the thrown to the dry cleaners or try the following: For smaller stains: Add lukewarm water with, in case necessary, a dash of wool detergent onto the stain. Do not rub. Rinse with lukewarm water. Let dry on a drying rack. Do not wring. For larger stains: Place the throw in lukewarm water mixed with wool detergent, and let the stain soak. Once the stain has disappeared, place on a drying rack. Do not wring.
