The SPF 50 Extreme Liquid from Biosolis provides long-lasting protection. Once applied, the sunscreen remains on the skin for longer periods of time. You can best apply this sunscreen before applying your make-up. The cream may also prolong the effect of your foundation and blush.
Thanks to the spray pump and the liquid consistency – it is more liquid than the SPF 15, SPF 30 and SPF 50+ for kids –this sun cream is easy to apply. Don’t spray the sun cream directly onto your face, but spray onto the body first and spread out onto the face.
The higher the factor of your natural sun cream, the better it protects against UV rays. However, it’s not true that a SPF 30 protects twice as well as a SPF 15, or an SPF 50 even better.
SPF 15 protects against 93% of the sunrays, SPF 30 protects against 97% of the sun rays and a SPF 50 provides protection for a longer period of time.
A SPF factor indicates how long you can sit in the sun without burning your skin. If your skin burns after 15 minutes, then a SPF 50 prolongs the amount of time you can sit in the sun without damage by 50. So, 15 minutes x 50 = 12,5 hours. In theory, you are protected longer with an SPF 50 than with an SPF 15. Keep in mind, however, that long-term protection is often not the case because many apply too little sunscreen. For this reason, it is recommended to regularly apply and re-apply your sunscreen.
This SPF 50 Extreme Liquid sun cream is recommended for fair to very fair skin types

Sun cream protects your skin only when used often enough
The AAD (American Academy of Dermatology) recommends to apply the amount of sunscreen needed to fill a shot glass (approximately) across the entire body. This is also the same as a well-filled palm.
Moreover, make sure to apply enough sunscreen to the areas of the body which are most exposed to the sun, such as your shoulders, your ears, chest and feet.
According to the AAD, we have the tendency to use too little sun cream on our faces – because we want to spread out sunscreen too much to avoid having white residue on our skin or to apply make-up. The face, therefore, is often not sufficiently protected. Try to ensure that a minimum of 1 teaspoon of sunscreen is applied to the face.
Remember to repeatedly re-apply sunscreen
For most sun care products, it is preferable to apply your sunscreen anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes before going outside and into the sun. This gives your skin enough time to absorb and process the ingredients so that you are protected against the damaging UVA and UVB rays.
The sun care products from Biosolis distinguish themselves by immediately protecting the skin right after applying.
Re-apply every two hours, after swimming and also after sweating. Don’t forget that daylight means sunlight. Even in the autumn and the winter your skin is exposed to sunrays. Some light protection can prevent early aging and premature wrinkles.
Sunscreen is not waterproof, but water resistant
Whether you are swimming or exercising rigorously in the sun, both water and sweat mix with the sun cream on your skin and weaken its protection. Sun cream is, therefore, never water proof even though this is often stated on the labels of sun care products. Waterproof in this context refers to the fact that the sun tan lotion contains petrochemicals and closes off the pores of your skin.
Water resistant is used to indicate how long the sun cream remains on wet skin, after how much time the sun cream should be re-applied. This is on average between 40 and 80 minutes.
Sunscreen has a limited shelf-life
A sunscreen loses its strength as time goes by. On most sun care products, the shelf life is mentioned. It does you well to remember to check the ‘expiration date’, as to ensure that your skin is optimally protected. If you’re using sunscreen the whole year-round, then it should not be an issue to finish the tube before it has reached its expiration date.
