Capers (Latin: Caparison spinosa) are the unopened flower buds of the caper plant, with a naturally fresh taste. Fruity and organic capers from MANI are preserved in the best MANI organic extra virgin olive oil, making them soft and extra tasty. They are very versatile, for example as a refined appetiser, as a pizza topping or to finish sauces.

Capers are good for you

100 grams of capers contain 8% of the RDA for fibre, 21% for vitamin K and 11% for vitamin B2. They contain all kinds of flavonoids which act as antioxidants. Nonetheless, you usually only add capers to dishes sparingly , so enjoy the delicious taste!

Tomato salad with capers and balsamic vinegar

INGREDIENTS (2 pers.

20 cherry tomatoes
1/2 red onion
1/2 tbsp MANI capers
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1tbsp balsamic vinegar
pinch fleur de sel

PREPARATION

Halve the cherry tomatoes and scatter over a board. Slice the onion into thin rings and scatter over the tomatoes. Sprinkle MANI capers all over. Make a dressing from olive oil, balsamic vinegar and fleur de sel, drizzle over the salad.
