The volume shampoo from Cîme is made from the peels of Nepalese soap nuts. These are rich in foaming saponins, but much less aggressive for the skin than detergents such as SLS. The Sapindus Mukorossi or soap nut tree grows spontaneously in the valley of the Himalayas. Every autumn, the villagers harvest the nuts, which gives them a nice extra income.
