Author Park, Si-woo was deeply impressed by the theories about salt of the Korean doctor Il-hoon Kim, (1909~1992), who 're-invented' the (production process of) Bamboo salt. Park, Si-woo says that the mineral deficiency of many modern people can be solved with bamboo salt. According to the author, the process of making bamboo salt is the best alchemy of the 21st century. The minerals in salt, which are abundantly present, become bio-active minerals.
