The Spanish fig Bombóns of Ecoficus, refined and healthy sweets, are typical of the region of Extremadura. The spectacular fig pralines are a combination of organic, dried Calabacitas figs, filled with almond praliné and covered with pure Belgian chocolate (71% cocoa). These fig Bombóns are really chock-full of taste.

Dried Spanish figs

Organic, 'Calabacita' figs are known because of their soft casing, small size and honey-coloured, thin skin and sweet taste. Ecoficus lets them dry in the sun. These figs are packed with complex carbohydrates, are a source of iron and rich in dietary fibres, potassium, magnesium and calcium.

Ecoficus is a Spanish family-owned company, specialised in making delicious delicacies based on organic figs. The farm is located in the region of Cáceres, in Extremadura, located just outside the ancient village of Almoharin: THE city of figs. The grown figs are called Calabacitas, which means little pumpkin. Spanish figs are also known as appetiser figs, candy figs or baby figs, because of their soft casing, small size and honey-coloured, thin skin and sweet taste. They are, therefore, very suitable as an appetiser as well as a healthy snack or processed in dishes.
