Mackerel in tomato sauce is a classic among canned fish, but Fish4Ever takes this dish to the next level with attention to quality, sustainability and taste.

Our mackerel is caught in the waters off the coast of Portugal by small, locally managed fishing boats. We use southern mackerel (Scomber colias), a species known for its meaty texture and lower fat content. This fish is caught at the optimal time, when its Omega 3 fatty acid content is at its best. As a result, the flavor is full and the texture firm, with no overpowering oiliness.

After the catch, the mackerel is processed locally according to our own recipe. We cut the fish into special fillets that are then topped with an organic spicy tomato sauce made from tomato paste, extra virgin olive oil and chili pepper. This creates a rich, spicy and balanced flavor.
