This unique blend includes lemon thyme, sage, ashwagandha, echinacea and reishi - all herbs and plants that have been valued in various traditional cuisines and herbal medicine for centuries.
Lemon thyme and sage not only give a delicious herbal aroma, they are also often used in vapors, infusions or broths when the respiratory tract or resistance need extra attention. Ashwagandha, also known as Indian ginseng, is known in Ayurveda as an adaptogen that helps the body cope with stress. Each Botanico herbal blend relies on three solid building blocks:
- Sumak berry: is a red berry, which is processed into a red purple powder and thus used in dishes such as hummus, kebabs, fattoush and za'atar. Sumac is rich in aroma, has a sour taste and has been used culinarily and medically in the Middle East for hundreds of years
- seaweeds: each spice mix contains the 4 seaweeds of the unique seaweed mix 4-Algae, namely nori, sea lettuce, kombu and dulse. These seaweeds are indispensable ingredients in every Botanico spice mix.
- Khoisan fleur de sel: don't use less salt, use better salt! Khoisan fleur de sel is 100% natural and goes through natural filtration. 5% of the total amount of sea salt crystallizes into fleur de sel, thanks to unique weather conditions.
