How is cheap coconut oil made? And how Kokovita?
The coconut pulp is mass industrially pressed under high temperature where the sugars start to caramelize. The resulting oil is then stripped of the caramel and coconut odor (deodorization).
Most organic coconut oils are then bleached and further refined. From a health standpoint, important nutrients are lost in every processing step.
Kokovita was semi-industrial pressed, deodorized but not bleached and further refined. Therefore, Kokovita is healthier than most other organic coconut oil but less healthy than extra virgin.
