Mattisson Celtic Sea Salt Coarse - Pure nature, full of minerals

Celtic Sea Salt Coarse from Mattisson is a pure, unrefined sea salt extracted by traditional methods from the salt marshes of Guérande, a region in Brittany, France. Following a Celtic method that is more than 2,000 years old, the salt is harvested manually in clay basins, where it is naturally enriched with minerals from the clay. This method gives the salt its distinctive gray-blue appearance and exceptionally high mineral content, including magnesium, calcium and potassium.

Compared to ordinary table salt, Celtic sea salt has a much lower sodium content (± 89.7%). As a result, it has a softer taste and you usually use less of it. The salt is unrefined and not washed, so it retains its natural balance of minerals and remains free of additives such as anti-caking agents. Thanks to the purifying action of the clay nuts, it is also free of contaminants.

This coarse Celtic sea salt is ideal for use as cooking salt, but is also popular for making sole - a mineral-rich salt solution used to naturally replenish the body with electrolytes. It is also an excellent choice in fermentations (such as sauerkraut or kefir) or for making your own sports drinks and electrolyte mixes.
