The Teriyaki Coconut Aminos sauce from Niulife is a Japanese style sauce, handmade from coconut blossom nectar and spices: is a soy-free alternative with the full flavour of the authentic Japanese style seasoning sauce.
Teriyaki is a Japanese cooking method in which meat, fish or vegetables are marinated in a basic sauce and then grilled in the sauce. 'Teri' means shiny in Japanese and 'yaki' means grilling or roasting. The original teriyaki sauce contains four basic ingredients: soy sauce, rice wine, sugar and ginger. Niulife made its own version based on coconut nectar and herbs. The coconut blossom nectar is fermented in barrels and then mixed with sun-dried sea salt and herbs. This ensures a balanced, mild taste. Although coconut aminos is made from coconut blossom nectar, it has no coconut taste or smell.
Coconut Aminos is handmade from coconut blossom nectar during a cold process without heating. So it is raw, soy-free and contains only natural sugars. In addition, Coconut Amino sauce is 100% gluten-free, just like Tamari, although some Tamari sauces are still made from wheat. This seasoning is often referred to as the "no-soy sauce". It is therefore very suitable if you want to eat raw food or paleo.
