Since 2014, Pipaillon has been making the tastiest jams and chutneys in the heart of Brussels in a traditional way and with lots of love. The makers are fans of rock and work with music. Each creation is therefore given a rocking name.
The Figgy Pop fig chutney is like Iggy Pop: it's powerful and has even more flavour than fig jam. That's because Pipaillon also added a touch of almond, dried apricots, raisins and delicious herbs. A chutney originally comes from the Indian kitchen. It is in fact a sauce that goes with everything and pleasantly surprises the taste buds. A tasteful and balanced mix of fruit, onions, sugar, spices and vinegar.
With this fig chutney, give an exotic twist to cheeses, terrines, poultry, white meat, quinoa, chickpeas and lentil salads; in sandwiches for some extra variety!
Pipaillon offers a wonderful range of sweet and savoury jars with fresh, organic, local and seasonal products with great respect for the local growers. All products are always made by hand.
The big secret of Pipaillon is slowness. Pipaillon takes two days to prepare its jams, three even for strawberry jam. The result is a jar full of natural flavor, without any preservatives!
The jams, marmalades and chutneys are seasonal and are processed quickly after each harvest. And if the harvest is not so abundant, Pipaillon patiently awaits what Mother Nature has to offer next season.
