Kokoa Kamili is a community of 19 villages located on the edge of the Udzungwa National Park in Tanzania.
Kokoa Kamili is a community of cocoa farmers. More than 2000 families work together on each aspect of cocoa cultivation: harvesting, fermentation, drying, classification and selection.
The community supplies the cocoa used in the Trinitario Kokoa Kamili from Aruntam.
Africa is known as the largest cocoa producer in the world. Worldwide, there is lots of demand from producers for Africa’s cocoa. The African cocoa is often used in regular chocolate. Connoisseurs would speak of “subpar” chocolate and Aruntam does not want to contribute to this image.
Aruntam believes that Africa focuses on productivity and quality. With this chocolate bar, Aruntam wants to prove that African cocoa is a high quality ingredient for chocolate that can charm all of our senses.
