Raw White Veg combines creamy Italian almond milk from pealed Toritto almonds with raw cocoa butter from Ecuador. Enriched with candied Sicilian orange peel and pieces of Toritto almonds, this chocolate makes you dream of typical South-Italian sweets and bakeries.
For Raw White Veg, Aruntam has chosen for cocoa butter from ““Hacienda El Pechichal” in Guayas, Ecuador. This cocoa butter is mixed with creamy almond milk, made from peeled almond – ‘Mandorla di Toritto’ – from Italian soil. The exceptional thing about these organic almonds is that they are harvested and processes to milk in a protected, natural environment in the National Park of Alta Murgia. Since 2004, these Toritto almonds are also certified as Slow Food.
The candied orange peel comes from Ragusa, a nature reserve that thanks to the Dirillo River has the ideal soil for citrus fruits. Aruntam works in Ragusa with the Di Geronimo family, who have been farming organically for four generations.
