Greek Thyme Honey from Vasilissa Honey: rare honey for connoisseurs
Thyme honey is made from the white thyme blossoms by honeybees (Thymus) that grow in what are known as 'florescences'. This is only possible from mid-June to mid-July during the flowering period of the thyme plants. That makes this type of honey very rare. Its special flavour also makes thyme honey very popular among connoisseurs.
Let thyme warm you up on cold days
Thyme contains thymol and is therefore deliciously warm on cold days. Like all honeys, thyme honey is rich in enzymes, minerals and vitamins. Thyme honey is widely used in traditional Mediterranean cuisine. It is delicious with grilled figs or roast potatoes. Needless to say, also as a sweetener in yogurt, quark, over fruit or in hot milk or tea.
Why should you buy organic honey from Vasilissa Honey?
This Greek thyme honey is organic, naturally pure and without any additives. The bees are not fed any additional food (like sugar) during the flowering period. Moreover, the honey is cold-slung and raw, which means that all its nutrients are retained.
