Pacari

Pacari: Premium organic chocolate from 'tree to bar' from Ecuador

The story behind Pacaric

Pacari means nature in Quechua, an indigenous language of the Andes. And that is what the Ecuadorian family business Pacari is all about. Making optimal use of the ingredients of nature and taking care of them at the same time. When Santiago Peralta and his wife Carla Barboto founded Pacari in 2003, they had a clear mission: to produce the highest quality organic dark chocolate in the world in the most ethical and sustainable way possible. The goal was to support Ecuador's ecosystem and local communities by producing chocolate from tree to bar in Ecuador. All products are fair trade and organic.

What we want to share is the human side of chocolate. It's very good chocolate, but behind it is a story about people who depend on each other. When you buy a bar, you help a lot of people to survive. My job is to be a bridge between what the farmers think and what the people who eat the chocolate think. - Santiago Peralta -
