Bio Orto Grand Cru Coratina is a characterful, 'wild' extra virgin olive oil with spicy aromas and light notes of fresh almond, artichoke and tomato. This Italian olive oil in a silver colored glass bottle is made from 100% Coratina olives. They are picked at the beginning of veraison or the beginning of ripening and pressed in 2 to 4 hours afterwards. These young olives yield less, but high quality. That is why the stock of Grand Crus is limited and very popular.

The Grand Cru olive oils from Bio Orto are unique in taste, quality and appearance. They are monocultivars or olive oils that are made from 1 specific olive variety. The special thing about a monocultivar is that you can taste the character of the region in it. Bio Orto uses olives from their own old olive groves in the North of Apulia or the heel of the Italian boot.

How do you use this Coratina olive oil?

This pure olive oil with spicy aromas goes well with typical Italian specialties such as farro dishes and risotto, barley soup or shellfish in guazzetto, a kind of broth with tomato.
