Fibers & Germs

Buy fibers and germs? Wheat germs, coconut fibers and spelt germs

Why eat more fiber?

Fiber contributes to good digestion and good intestinal health. They also provide a long-lasting feeling of satiety. You can eat fiber-rich foods such as whole wheat bread, oatmeal, vegetables and fruit or you can also add fiber to your food with, for example, coconut flour or wheat germ.

The sprouts or germs of a plant contain all the nutrients necessary for the plant to grow. Wheat germ and spelt germ are the edible cores of wheat or spelt grains. These therefore contain a lot of valuable nutrients, including a lot of fiber (8g/100g). You can make porridge from them, but you can also stir them under your muesli or process them in your smoothie. Or use them as a topping on your yogurt, in salads or in soups and sauces.

Coconut flour contains a lot of fiber and fewer carbohydrates and calories. It is obtained by drying coconut flesh and squeezing out all the oil. Amanprana lets the flour dry slowly (at max. 45°C) to keep all digestive enzymes intact. Coconut flour can be used in pastries and cakes, but also in yogurt and smoothies or as a binding agent in sauces and soups.
