Ground Galanga or Laos from Sonnentor: Gingery seasoning from the Eastern kitchen

Ground Galanga or Laos from Sonnentor has a gingery, lemony, mustardy aroma, which is much milder than ginger. Its piquant spiciness with a subtle sour note is very popular in Southeast Asian cuisine. In Thailand, galanga is used in almost all dishes, and in Indonesia in satay and in the chicken soup Tom Kha Gai.

Organic galangal root or Thai ginger for a wide range of uses

Galangal root (Alpinia officinarum) is a plant from the ginger family and originates from China, where it has been used as a remedy for nausea, among other things. We are familiar with it here mainly as an Indonesian kitchen spice going by the name of Laos, although this spice is also called Thai ginger or Lesser galangal. Among other things, it stimulates digestion and the absorption of vitamins C and E.
