TerraSana coconut milk: the creamiest coconut milk and 100% natural
Coconut milk is a product that is always useful to have at home. And not only if you like Asian dishes. Add it to a dish or a drink to make it smoother and tastier. Coconut milk can therefore be used in many dishes: in soups, sauces, dressings, desserts, cocktails or as vegan cream. And it is also delicious in smoothies.
What is coconut milk or coconut cream?
Coconut milk is made by mixing grated coconut with water and squeezing it out. So it is not the same as the moisture or water that is in the coconut. The more coconut is used, the more (coconut) fat is in the coconut milk. The fat percentage of coconut milk is therefore an important indication of the quality of the product.
Coconut cream is a coconut milk with a very high fat percentage. If you dilute coconut cream with water, it is the same as coconut milk. Coconut cream has a slightly thicker structure, so you can also beat a nice whipped cream with it.
Why choose TerraSana coconut milk?
The organic coconut milk from TerraSana consists of 80% coconut and 20% water. This is a particularly high coconut percentage and you can taste that with its rich taste and full structure. TerraSana also does not remove fat from the coconut, but they keep the fat percentage high in a natural way (22% coconut fat). This means that you have the best quality coconut milk in TerraSana.
The coconut cream (the thick part of this coconut milk) can be used very well for (vegan) baking or as a cream. Put the can in the refrigerator overnight before baking.
Coconut milk is not suitable for replacing regular milk or vegetable milk.
Also available in a can of 400 ml.
Freeze coconut milk
Often you only need a little coconut milk in a dish. It would be a shame to have to dispose of the coconut milk when there is a lot left over or to suddenly be forced to make many recipes with coconut milk. Fortunately, you can freeze coconut milk without problem (2 to 3 months) in a sealed box. Keep in mind that the milk is a bit scattered by the freezing process. That's no problem. You only need to stir the coconut milk after thawing.
It is also useful to freeze the coconut milk in an ice cube form. This way you can defrost small amounts every time. It is not recommended to re-freeze coconut milk several times.
