Zao micellar water: gentle cleanser and makeup remover for every skin type

With the micellar water from Zao, you can easily remove makeup, cleanse and moisturise your face in one go. Zao created a cleansing water based on melissa hydrolat, witch hazel hydrolat and babassu seed oil. This gentle makeup remover cleanses, calms and tones every type of skin, without any redness or sensation of tightness. 

• Organic melissa hydrolat is a rejuvenating, soothing and calming active ingredient. It is perfect for mature, dry and irritated skin and for blemished skin.

• Organic witch hazel hydrolat is deeply cleansing and is ideal for combination to oily skin types. It is also very gentle on sensitive skin that is prone to redness.

• Babassu seed oil is an oil that allows you to effortlessly remove makeup. It is a powerful antioxidant that repairs, soothes and hydrates the skin.

What is micellar water?

Don't just call micellar water 'water.' Micellar water contains micelles or tiny molecular particles which have a magnetic working and attract impurities, makeup traces and excess sebum as soon as they come into contact with them. Therefore you can cleanse your face more effectively with it than just with water. Very useful if you have sensitive skin, as micellar water is gentle and potent.

Remove makeup and cleanse without water

Take a (reusable) cotton wool pad and sprinkle some micellar water onto it. Gently wipe your face and neck with the cotton wool pad. You'll wipe all the dirt and makeup traces off your skin this way.  Repeat a few times until your cotton wool pad no longer looks dirty.

Waterproof makeup around your eyes? Place a cotton wool pad with a little micellar water around your eyes for half a minute and you'll then be able to rub the makeup off very easily. 

Why use micellar water from Zao?

Micellar water actually works as a cleansing milk and tonic in one. So there is no need to use anything else besides this water.

The micellar water from ZAO also does not contain alcohol, which means you can use it on your whole face, even around your eyes. That's handy!
