3-Algae mix from La Patrona: three types of dried seaweed from Spanish coastal waters

La Patrona's algae mix consists of three types of dried seaweeds, namely wakame, sea spaghetti and sea lettuce, all harvested in Rías Baixas, a coastal region in southern Galicia. This mix of brown and green algae is distinguished by its content of potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, protein and dietary fiber. Due to natural drying at a low temperature (below 40°C), the algae retain their structure, color and high nutritional value.

Wakame has a delicate and sweet taste with a clean aroma, reminiscent of oysters in taste. Sea spaghetti has a soft taste and structure and sea lettuce is distinguished by a fresh and strong taste, which resembles sorrel and... the sea. Ideal in salads, soups, fillings and for (stir) frying.

Why buy seaweed from La Patrona?

The various seaweeds are harvested by hand in the Galician estuaries, washed, dehydrated and packed by La patrona in biodegradable packaging, free of plastic. Harvesting is done on foot or by diving at a shallow depth and using a boat. The algae are cut off, leaving the rhizoid (root) so they can continue to grow. This seaweed is fully certified organic.
