TerraSana cashew butter: a sweet nut butter that makes a healthy spread
TerraSana cashew butter is made from lightly-roasted organic cashew nuts – and nothing else! This delicious nut butter has a slightly sweet flavour and creamy texture. What you taste is pure, organic and homemade. The cashew nuts are lightly roasted before being ground. Nothing is added. Over time, a layer of oil can form on top of the nut butter. This is natural fat from the nuts. Just stir it in and enjoy!
Cashew butter is surprisingly tasty on bread or crackers, but it's also a great ingredient in baking, or you can use it to make your own nut milk. Just mix a little cashew butter with water and your nut milk is ready. A spoonful of cashew butter added to your smoothie or porridge is also delicious. Make your breakfast or lunch special!
Is nut butter a healthy spread?
It's recommended that we all eat a handful of nuts (around 25 g) every day. The health effects of nuts are undeniable, and spreading nut butter on your sandwich is just as good as chomping on whole nuts. Peanuts are actually legumes, not nuts, but they have very similar health effects to true nuts. TerraSana nut butters are made from nuts and nothing else – they don't contain additives such as salt, making them an ideal healthy spread. Nevertheless, you should enjoy them in moderation – nuts are healthy, but they're also high in calories.

Recipe: Vegan cashew ice cream with caramel and maca
These popsicles are just super tasty. They are best when they are just too hard, which is around four hours later. Making your own ice creams without an ice machine can be quite a challenge. In order not to get ice crystals, the fat / sugar ratio must be just right. Are there any ice crystals? Then it helps to add some extra maple syrup. Oh and the homemade caramel really makes these ice creams complete!
Number: 6-8 ice-creams
Preparation time: <30 minutes + wait for at least 4 hours
Ingredients:
1. for the ice-creams:
- 400 ml of coconut milk
- 100 g cashew butter
- 2 tbsp maca powder
- 5 el maple syrup degree c
2. for the caramel:
- 200 ml coconut milk,
- 20 g of coconut blossom sugar
Preparation:
Put all the ingredients for the ice creams in a blender and mix until smooth. Pour this into ice molds and leave it in the freezer for at least 4 hours. Chocolate freak? Then add 1 tbsp raw cacao powder!
Make the caramel by boiling coconut milk and coconut blossom sugar in a pan while stirring. Let this boil for about 20-30 minutes, until a soft, golden-brown caramel is formed.
Remove the ice cream from the freezer 5 minutes in advance and decorate with caramel and crushed cashew nuts.
